O
f course you’re nervous about having an additional person around you during this most personal and intimate moment. Yet, having a professional birth photographer is important, because capturing these special memories can be incredibly meaningful, leaving you with a visual record of this special time in your life.
As your birth photographer, I understand the need for privacy, and am able to capture delicate moments without disrupting the flow of your birthing experience. I believe your birth story is best told through the lens of trust and compassion.
What you get in your birth photography session
ET TO KNOW EACH OTHER
We will sit down together at least two times before delivery, going over the level of intimacy and how revealing you would like the photos, are you comfortable with below the waist, or would you prefer a slightly more modest approach to your story.
ACK UP PHOTOGRAPHER & ON CALL
Additionally, from 37 weeks till birth I will be on call for you 24/7. As well, a back up photographer will be available in case of extreme emergency keeping me from attending- because we all know every birth is different and every detail can’t be planned.

he sooner the better! Establishing our connection is important. Many inquire shortly after they find out theyre expecting, then book in the beginning of their second trimester. I book 1-2 births a month making sure I can show up for you in all the ways you need.

Frequently asked questions
Your belly will be nice and round 6-10 weeks prior to your due date. This is the time I recommend.
I’m pleased to answer any questions. If I am available on your date we can set up a time to go over the contract and secure it. We stay in touch, talking about your progress through the pregnancy, and fixing dates for your pre-birth meetings. At the meetings discuss your questionnaire and how you best want your birth story to be told.
I use natural and ambient light whenever possible. If needed, I will use a flash.
Every image is unique and stories are told in both color and black and white.
In the unlikely case that I am unable to make your birth, I will send a back-up photographer.
I will always ask permission and we will have a detailed discussion during the pre-birth meetings.
It is best to call at first sign of labor and when you are in early active labor.
